Meet your therapist
Hello,
I'm Paula Ghelman, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist in Ontario with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have worked with various community mental health agencies in Los Angeles before returning to Toronto. There, I served at the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) and the University of Toronto.
Specializing in treating individuals 18 and older, I offer expert support for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. My diverse training in evidence-based modalities—including CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and attachment theory—allows me to provide a holistic and personalized approach to therapy.
I address a wide range of mental health challenges, including self-esteem, emotion regulation, relationships, grief and loss, existential dread, women's issues, stress, and burnout. If you feel adrift, have lost your sense of self, or are stuck in a cycle of stagnation, I am here to guide you through these complexities.
Together, we'll embark on a collaborative journey of self-discovery and healing, using tailored therapeutic techniques to address your unique needs. Let’s work towards restoring balance, finding your inner strength, and rediscovering a sense of purpose.
